Day-by-Day Itinerary
-Day 1: Arrival in Catania
Welcome to Catania—a city inhabited for 3,000 years at the foot of Mount Etna. Despite earthquakes and eruptions, life thrives here. Living close to Europe’s most active volcano represents transformation and self-renewal.
Day 2: Syracuse & Noto
Syracuse preserves elegance through limestone buildings from different epochs. The glory of this ancient city was praised by Cicero, Plato, and Virgil. Later, discover Noto’s golden Baroque masterpieces—rebuilt after the 1693 earthquake.
Day 3: Ragusa & Modica
An “island within the island” where warmth and courtesy capture your heart. Majestic Baroque façades with enormous pillars and beautiful decorations recall the royal glory that once existed here. Don’t miss Modica’s famous chocolate.
Day 4: Piazza Armerina & Agrigento
The Greeks transformed Sicily into the World’s Greatest Open-Air Museum. At Agrigento, magnificent temples stand in perfect condition—built “as if they would never die.” At Piazza Armerina, Roman mosaics astound with their beauty and detail.
Day 5: Palermo & Monreale
Palermo’s prestigious past shines through magnificent architecture. Surrounded by mountains and the Tyrrhenian Sea, this is paradise on earth. At Monreale, golden Byzantine mosaics covering 6,500 square meters leave visitors speechless.
Day 6: Mount Etna & Taormina
Taormina is a flourishing garden where humanity meets nature. Pliny the Elder praised its excellent wines. Capricious Etna watches over all—the beloved “Mongibel” that locals worship despite its unpredictable temperament.
Day 7: Departure
Arrivederci Sicily—until we meet again.
